Amongst the highlights are the Parliament House with its twin verandas, the Mint Building and Hyde Park Barracks. A trip to Australia means a trip to the outdoors and even in this bustling city there is a great sense of outdoors. The Domain is a recreational area used by those trying to escape the throngs, sports enthusiasts and Sunday soapbox speakers; it encompasses the wonderful Botanic Gardens and also The Art Gallery of New South Wales.
